Fashion Buyer & Product Developer

Chery Style is growing fast! We are a young and ambitious team in women’s clothing, shoes and accessories. Every week we work with new collections, trends, bestsellers and products that need to sell straight away.

That is why we are looking for a Fashion Buyer & Product Developer to start immediately and help decide which items we buy, develop and push.

This is not a standard buying role: you don’t just look at what is pretty, but above all at what our customer wants to wear and what sells.

What will you do?

Every day you work with trends, products, stock and suppliers. You spot new trends in women’s fashion, shoes, colours, fits and materials, and turn them into concrete buying proposals.

You look at our sales data, bestsellers, stock, margins and return rates. Based on these, you help decide which products we buy, which sizes and colours are important and which items we need to reorder.

You are in contact with suppliers, follow up on delivery times and make sure new products arrive on time. You also contribute as a product developer: how can we improve items, which colours are we missing, which fit works better and which trends suit the Chery Style customer?

You work closely with marketing, the webshop and the warehouse, so that the right products go online and are pushed at the right moment.

Your responsibilities

• Spotting trends and turning them into new collection items
• Creating buying proposals based on instinct and data
• Analysing bestsellers and preparing reorders
• Monitoring stock, sizes, colours and margins
• Maintaining contact with suppliers
• Following up on delivery times and new collections
• Contributing ideas on fit, fabrics, colours and details
• Spotting opportunities in products that could sell well
• Working with marketing on which items get extra attention

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a feel for fashion, energy and commercial insight: someone who sees trends before everyone else does, but who also understands that, in the end, a product has to generate sales.

You are sharp, quick, eager to learn and not afraid to come up with ideas. You don’t need years of experience as a senior buyer, but you do have a feel for women’s fashion, an eye for detail and the drive to help build our growing team.
